Our Course

Bachelor of Education : (B. Ed.)
Intake : 100
Duration : 2 Year Full Time

This is a two year degree program leading to the degree of "Bachelor of Education". The course is aimed at moulding the future teachers. It will enable the student - teacher to develop contextual as well as conceptual competency, to acquire basic knowledge in the use of Information & Communication Technology in education, to master the skills involved in effective teaching and to develop professional attitude towards teaching.

1. The medium of instruction for the B.Ed course will be English/Hindi.
2. The medium of the Examination will also be English, but the students with prior permission will have option to write their theory papers in Gujarati, Marathi, or Hindi irrespective of the medium of instruction.

The candidates belonging to general, other backward class (SEBC for Gujarat) and special Backward categories who have secured 49.5% marks and those belonging to Scheduled castes / Scheduled tribes (SCs/STs) categories having secured 44.5% marks in the degree examination under the disciplines of Arts, Science, Commerce, Home Science, Agriculture, Computer, Information Technology & Engineering of the Statutory universities, Agriculture Universities, Open Universities or Deemed Universities will be eligible seeking admission to B.Ed. Course.

Merit will be decided considering the percentage of marks secured by the candidate in the third year of examination of the degree course . In case of those universities where semester examination system is in practice, average of the marks obtained in the two semesters in the third year will be taken in order to decide the merit.
